Coordinape is a platform for DAOs to easily and fairly distribute resources to contributors.

Contributors transparently reward the value they see created in an organization. The reward-giving process is lean and allows anyone to quickly weight-in. No more cumbersome voting or black-box committees!

Epochs

One of the most important things to get in Coordinape are epochs. Epochs are contribution periods during which members of a circle add their contributions & allocate their GIVEs to other members.

It is very important to add your contributions & allocate your GIVEs before the epoch ends, so we recommend doing it at least 4 times per month if not more.

Add Contributions

If you want to get paid, you need to add your contributions to the circle, simple as that.

Make sure to:

• Add plenty of detail & links to proofs (if applicable) to your contributions so others get full context into what was done
• If you’re afraid people won’t understand the breadth of your contribution, also note about how much time you spent on it & why you think its super useful/what the impact is
• Make sure to add the “epoch statement” on top of your contributions to recap the most important contributions in short & add any additional notes as to time invested or impact made

Give

Now the hard part!

Gives are how your teammates get paid - so make sure to allocate them & allocate all of them. Gives represent a percentage of the cut, so even if it seems that your team had less contributions overall, you should still allocate all of your GIVEs (unless you contributed more than everyone else combined)

Things to keep in mind:

• Do not “distribute equally” or attempt to reward people equally, do not be afraid to reward some disproportionately more or less than others
• You should not allocate GIVEs based on how cool or nice something is but based on the overall impact it has on the project
• You’re not allocating to people but contributions. Do not let your liking or disliking of somebody influence your allocation, allocate purely based on merit
• You can also “add note” (private) to each of the contributors to add a little note of appreciation or explain why you allocated them a certain amount
